Beep, beep, beep! It’s your morning alarm clock saying “time to wake up” and what do you do? You push the snooze. You then drag yourself out of bed in a zombie-like state until you finish your first cup of coffee. Does this sound like you?

Well, it doesn’t have to be! Here are three simple things you can do every day that will kickstart your productivity and set each day up for success.

1. Make Your Bed

It sounds silly to some that making your bed is a necessary daily task. After all, you’re just going to get back in bed again later, right? Well, that may be true, but one thing is for certain, if you make your bed in the morning, you’ll feel better about achieving the rest of your daily routine. Some might say that they have no time. Some might say they don’t see the point, but I’m telling you, making your bed first thing in the morning helps you to focus your attention on the goals you hope to attain for the day. Try it out for a week or two and I promise, you will understand. Plus, who doesn’t like slipping into a perfect, non-bundled blanket to snooze away to at night?

2. Eat A Wholesome Breakfast

You’ve been dressed and are nearly ready to leave the house but don’t forget breakfast! Breakfast isn’t only important for boosting your metabolism, but it’s also imperative to help you mentally focus on your day. The energy you exude from a scrumptious breakfast will have you jumping for joy the rest of your day.

3. Plan the Night Before

This sounds like something that would take a long time, but it doesn’t have to. You just simply need to think about.  What will I be doing tomorrow? What do I hope to accomplish? What order do they need to be accomplished in? Every day is equally important to act on, so engage your thoughts the night before.  Do you have a day to do nothing? Then it’s that simple. The night before, picture what your day of doing nothing will look like. It’s important to think ahead no matter what you plan on doing the next day.  After all, who doesn’t like less stress and more productivity?

Conclusion

It’s simple tasks like these that can get you to jump out of bed before the alarm even sounds off.  Start your day off feeling ambitious instead of dragging.  Your day is what you make it, so plan ahead and lead your day with purpose!
