1. Ditch Your Car

Do you live within biking or walking distance from work, your child’s school or shops to check off your errands? If the answer is yes, then ditch your car and put on your walking shoes! You will save gas and increase your calorie burn. The American Heart Association suggests you take 10 thousand steps a day to keep your heart healthy; those 10 thousand steps will also keep your body looking good. 2. Start Your Day With Weights

Weight training increases the size and strength of muscles. Muscles burn more calories than fat does. Begin each day with some light weight training to kickstart your calorie burning. You can even add ankle weights or a weighted vest to your outfit and increase the amount of work your body has to do during everyday tasks. Start light and increase as you begin to acclimate to the extra gravitational force. It is a subtle, inexpensive and easy way to burn more calories.

3. Do Your Own Chores

If you want to save money and lose weight, then start doing your own chores. Mow your own lawn, sweat it out and burn off the pizza you ate last night. Lug that vacuum around the house to get your floors clean and heart rate up. Dust, take down all the blinds and clean the windows, make the beds, wash your car. Your home will be shiny clean, your wallet will be nice and full, and your calories will melt away.

4. Find a Happy Hour/Date Night Alternative

Girl’s night out, date night and happy hour can be the most fattening events in your week. So instead of drinking empty calories and filling up with fattening food, try doing something healthy. Walk to dinner with your sweetie pie and pick a healthy restaurant that serves fresh veggies, high protein and nutrient rich food. Instead of sitting in a movie theater, go out dancing or to a kickboxing class together. You will have a great time shedding the pounds while spending quality time with your guy or gal. Instead of heading out to happy hour with the ladies, hit the gym together and laugh your little butts off while taking Zumba. Take a yoga class, then grab a yummy salad after. Make smart choices for entertainment so that your figure doesn’t have to pay for it the next day!
