5 Fun Date Activities For the Health-Conscious Couple

Are you interested in impressing a health conscious hottie? Or just looking to become a healthier couple in general? All the drinking, eating and forms of entertainment you enjoy while dating these days can really wreck a person’s figure and health! It certainly doesn’t have to, though. Here are five health-conscious date activities you can impress your partner with.

1. Take a Dance Class

Not only will you burn calories and learn a new skill but you will also be required to get up close and personal with your object of affection. Want to make the person laugh? Try line dancing…it’s hard to keep a straight face, especially if you have never tried it before. Looking for something a little sexier? Try salsa dancing, although you may get a few laughs with that one, too. Either way, you are sure to have a good time while, burning the calories.

2. Rock Climbing

You can show off your adventurous, healthy side easily with a rock climbing session. (Not to mention that you will prove how dependable you are when you are entrusted to slowly lower them down from the top of the wall they just climbed). I would venture to guess you would get a few laughs out of this date, too.

3. Take A Fitness Class

Find a class the both of you would be interested in, like kickboxing, Zumba or yoga. You will gain a whole extra hour in your day since you can check off your date and workout at the same time. You can get all sweaty together and burn some calories while you’re at it.

4. Cook Together

Pick your date up and take them straight to the grocery store or farmer’s market. Give them a few options for dinner, and then spend some time picking out the ingredients together. When you get back to your place, pour a glass of wine, put on some sexy tunes and prepare a meal together. Cooking together can be fun and sexy! Then you can both enjoy the healthy meal you just made and be impressed with each other’s mad culinary skills.

Another option is to take a cooking class together. It’s a lot of fun, and you just have to show up and cook. No grocery shopping or clean up!

5. Bucket List Date

How about using your date to check some things off your bucket list? Overcoming fear and the rush of adrenaline running through your veins is likely to stoke a fire in both of you. Hop on Groupon and find a hang-gliding package, a zip line session or if you are really brave, a trip up in a plane to skydive. A couple that goes on adventures together, stays together, or, at least, has a good time while they are together!

Keep in mind that both of you will have more fun if neither of you is an expert at these things. Nothing is worse than going on a bowling date with someone that can bowl a perfect game while you can only get the ball in the gutter. Try to get to know your partner a little bit before you choose the date; if your partner isn’t competitive, then you may want to avoid activities that would require you to compete. Also, make sure your partner doesn’t have any physical limitation that would leave them feeling incapable of the task at hand. You are sure to shine in your date’s eyes if you can keep things adventurous, healthy, and fun!
